Tha abacus side table is loosely based around a chair a made during my final year of Furniture making school. It was a project for an educational centre and I took the inspiration from a wooden abacus with varied shaped beads. The side table is rejecting a lot of the traditional methods of uniformity and preciseness in wood turning and instead creating a more sculptural unique form while focusing on two simple shapes. he side table can be used as a hallway display piece, a prop up for your plants, a small perching stool or a bedside table, Handcrafted from solid cherry using traditional joints for a solid long-lasting piece of furniture
