A 2.5 hour in person texture carving workshop. Learn the fundamentals of using palm tools to create unique textures to your favourite wooden items.

The course will start with an introduction and safety demonstration through some different techniques. You will then practice on some scrap pieces of hardwood before moving onto a final piece of a wooden 6 inch bowl or 8 inch chopping board that will be ready for you to carve and take home.

The class includes a guide on how to continue your new skill at home and a wooden bowl or chopping board created by you.

We also have a couple of subsidized spots, please email elise@mclauchlanmade.com if you would like to participate in the course but its a little out of budget. Wood carving is mediative and therapeutic and should be an available tool for everyone to enjoy.
