A 2 hour in person texture carving workshop. Learn the fundamentals of using palm tools to create unique textures and patterns onto a wooden block that can be hung on a wall or placed on a shelf

The course will start with an introduction and safety demonstration through some different techniques. You will then practice on some scrap pieces of wood before moving onto a final piece. You’ll start off my drawing your chosen pattern onto the wood (some inspirations cards will also be provided) you’ll etch out the pattern with a craft knife and then use a range of tools to carve out the pattern each with varying techniques and styles. You can then paint some parts with India ink to add more contrast. The board is approximately 8x4” and there will be a hole in the back for you to hang your new homemade piece of art

The class also includes a guide on how to continue your new skill at home.
